Go to your trusted dermatologist to assess your skin. Only a dermatologist can tell you what type of skin you have. He or she can give you suggestions on what will work well for your skin type. Your skin would greatly benefit from this consultation. But as a general rule, if you have oily and acne prone skin, you must stay away from oil and cream based products. On the other hand, if you have dry skin, you must stay away from skin care products that contain drying agents such as salicylic acid.
Always put in mind that expensive products are not always the best. High end skin care products that come in chi-chi looking packaging doesn't automatically mean that it's better than other products that are not that expensive. You can actually find good skin care products in the drugstore or the grocery! Also, always remember that there is no ONE best skin cleanser or skin moisturizer in the market. A product that works for your friend might not work for you. What's important is that you buy a skin product that matches the type of skin you have. Listen to your skin. You skin will tell you what it needs to be beautiful and healthy.
